A Course and a Cake

We are now less than 36 hours from the 5K start time (Midnight on Saturday, March 17). I’m not running today, since I have to work and make a cake (five-layer, white chocolate lemon cake with lemon curd filling and lemon Swiss meringue buttercream – photos and recipe to be posted soon), but I thought I would share a map of the 5K course, so you can pretend like you’re running along beside me and Julie while actually laying in your nice, soft bed in a temperature-controlled room, or perhaps even sleeping – if you really want to rub it in.

This is the course we have been running at Arena Park for the past week, in preparation for the event tomorrow night. I’m not positive which direction we will be running (clockwise or counter-clockwise), but the distance is the same either way.
